Sam Champion calls it quits at The Weather Channel

well, that was kinda coming for a while now, his stint at The Weather Channel was prove he was not the right fit for the network, it was Al Roker all over again.

during his time at TWC, he co-hosted AMHQ which received poor ratings to the point he was replace by Jim Cantore as the male co-host. and then they try to burn the remainder of his contract with a show called 23.5 Degrees which was stuck in the late night slot on TWC.

so in a way, looks like he's returning home to ABC News/GMA next year.
