WBWT-LP 101.5 The Beat, Greenville

Does anyone listen to this station? I'm curious because lately I've had more trouble with reception. No only is the signal not as strong for me anymore (I've always been on the fringe) but now it sounds rather flat. I need to crank my radio higher to hear it compared to other higher power stations in the area.

I was not familiar this station had signed on. But at least they are not on the same frequency as a full power fringe station from a neighboring market such as Charlotte. I am still infuriated that WXRU was allowed on 107.9. Both WXRU and WLNK have bad mutual interference in many areas of Greenville County, which is a disservice to both stations and the listeners, as 107.9 becomes a wasted frequency. The FCC maps show the secondary coverage contour of WLNK covering Greenville County, and WLNK had a strong signal within that contour. A low power signal competing against a full power 100,000 watt station creates only noise and interference, and a limited coverage for both stations.

As for 101.5, I do receive that station near Mauldin. But it does seem a bit weak due to low power.
