Just got the antenna.

It's a SWR brand (Service With Reliability)

Spent money to have it shipped here.

God just blessed me with most of that money in return.

God's Word to me is simple. Dan I want Selma to have Jesus Radio. No one is talking me out of it.
 
Now we can say, within the next few days Jesus Radio Selma is signing on. More donations are coming, as I build things out. We serve an amazing God.

We're now going to sign on February 4th, with something. The builder is on his way now to start building and made me that promise. No live stream will exist, at first. Gotta get the local side going. We'll talk stream, sometime this year.

P.S. If this miracle does happen, it'll be the greatest one God has ever pulled off for Selma Alabama. Dan will be stoked, excited and leaping for joy, if it does happen.

Mr. Presley, I can assure you that the "miracle" launch of your LPFM is in reality less than a grain of sand in the hourglass of Selma, Alabama history.

We're on the air, as of this moment. The signal is small but that'll change after we get the tower raised and put the antenna on it. Been sick with sinus issues too. Hope to get well, where I can have a real celebration for the start up of Jesus Radio Selma.

How much of Selma are you currently covering without a tower and antenna? By the way, hopefully you get well soon. I once had a principal whose sinus issues seemed rather debilitating.
 
Have an antenna in place. Fixing to move it, once we get the tower raised. Right now, Park Avenue and a small section surrounding my street is all I cover. Hope that'll change after today. Thanks for the kind words. I'm getting better now.

Are you up to full operation yet Dan? Just curious if you got the tower & antenna issues done yet & if so how much coverage you are getting now. Keep us posted if you get the station streaming on the internet too. I would love to check it out since I'm never in your neck of the woods.
 
Working on getting to full power. Hope to be there, within the next few days. Plan on streaming and doing the web site thing, within the next year. This broadcast is still a work in progress.

P.S. For those wondering, the playlist is everywhere. Playing some old, new, traditional and not so traditional tunes for now.
 
Do you have a Facebook page? That will do you some good until the website gets established. It's a great way to get feedback. However, it's also a potentially great way to develop big shoulders to bear the brunt of criticism, whether well-intended or not.
 
Good to read, Dan. So anything happen so far that you found funny, caught you off guard, was or wasn't like you imagined? What are you playing music from? Using a Mac like you expected?
 
For now I'm uploading from my CD collection to a donated Dell Computer, which is fixing to get a new hard drive. I just ran out of space for more tunes but the issue is being resolved. Outside of that, everything else is going fine. Will move up to Apple, once I get established real good.

Wow. How many songs have you uploaded that you ran out of HD space? What app are you using to play the songs on air?
 
Windows Media Player. The Computer only had 16GB of Hard Drive. Over 100 tunes so far.
