I hear cbc's trying out hd radio!

Fybush's Northeast Radio Watch says that CBC Radio 1 in Toronto is adding a subcarrier that will carry TIME-FM Tamil language programming. I believe that this is a first step towards an HD Radio channel on CBC. Any questions or comments?

I don't actually speak Tamil, so I do ask, is this a threat to 101.3 FM? Or are they a completely different formatted station, perhaps welcoming this idea?
101.3 was one of the first to surface on HD in the Toronto market.
