Natasha Ryan Leaves KING 5

According to her FB page, KING 5 Weekend Morning co-anchor Natasha Ryan has left the station.

I wonder if they will have someone else join Amity Addressi on weekend mornings or just have Amity solo-anchor the news. AFAIK, this was KING 5's first time using a dual anchor format on weekend mornings. Prior to this, anchors like Julie Francavilla, Susannah Frame, Carolyn Douglas, and Meg Coyle all solo-anchored. I really miss watching Carolyn Douglas -- she was quite good!

I liked Natasha Ryan ... thought she had a ton of genuine personality as both an anchor and reporter. But yes, I believe this was the first time KING5 had used dual anchors on weekend mornings. Everyone else previously anchored solo.

And yes, Carolyn Douglas was outstanding. She was a top market talent buried at a station that, at the time, was full of it. Consider her to be one that got away.

In fact, Carolyn reminded me of the young Katie Couric (before she garnered "big celebrity" status).

According to a Facebook post sounds like she isn't leaving entirely but is taking extra time off. Similar to what she did with her first kid left to be a stay at home mom only to return later as a freelancer on NWCN before eventually being hired as a full time weekend morning anchor/reporter. Basically she hasn't said she isn't returning but hasn't ruled it out either.
