NEW YORK (AP) -- Joni Sledge, who with her sisters recorded the enduring dance anthem "We Are Family," has died, the band's representative said Saturday.

She was 60.

Sledge was found dead in her home by a friend in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday, the band's publicist, Biff Warren, said. A cause of death has not been determined. He said she had not been ill.

Was she not a Sister of the Sledge family?

The name of the group is Sister Sledge. Joni was indeed a Sledge sister, but Sister Sledge is not a common way to express that concept, at least not for one fluent in English. If, indeed, English is not your first language, you have a perfectly good excuse. But if you referred to one of the sisters that way just to confuse or troll us, then you richly deserve any sarcasm you may receive here.

Generally when we are talking about death it is not meant to confuse and or troll you? She was a Sister, and one of the Sledge sisters, thus Sister Joni Sledge. Anyway are you questioning if I'm a native English speaker or fluent in English over the title of my thread? I would prefer the moderator lock this thread so Joni Sledge can finally rest in peace

Sister Joni Sledge? She was a nun?

Go ahead, Frank. Lock it up! Lock it up! Lock it up!
