Interesting article in today's Boston Globe's Names section. Apparently, WCVB's news director, Paige Harrison is less concerned about the content WCVB- TV Channel 5 presents but its reporters walk around during their live shots. Paige has issued that as an edict.
WCVB-TV staffers, The Globe reports, are upset about the directive from their boss Paige Harrison who has demanded that her reporters "start walking and talking..."in their live shots. Paige became news director last December.
Her coming on to WCVB-TV Channel 5 is another indication that that once great station has now become another Tabloid News Station much like Ansin's Channel 7. WHDH.
Shame on WCVB-TV Channel. Paige Harrison is another indication why Channel 5's news has become more superficial each day. If you have Channel 5's App on your phone it is even worse. If they cannot find "Breaking News" and if it ' Bleeds-it-Leads' approach to news stories in the Greater Boston area they will go across the country or the world to post what ever tabloid news they can find.
The great station that the likes of Natalie Jacobson helped to build is just a faint memory.
Shame on Paige Harrison for bringing her shallow standards to WCVB-TV Channel 5.
Suggestion: " move it; move it " out of town to some podunk backwater station where you stupidity may not be so noticeable. " Move it" ...out of town!
