KTIB-AM flips from news/talk/oldies to CHR

With a new translator on the air, KTIB-AM 640 Thibodaux flipped formats Sunday from News/Talk/Oldies as they billed themselves (more of a 70s-80s centric oldies) to top 40 as Lagniappe 103.7 with Kidd Kraddick in the morning and apparently sat fed westwood one hits now I'm guessing.

Waiting to see if someone will be flipping once KXOR flips to K-Love as soon as FCC gives blessing

KJIN/KCIL Just got the FCC's Blessings:

Only a matter of time before KXOR dies a horrible death.

Now that 103.7 is a Top 40 station, they should have a countdown show each weekend (like on Sunday night). Also, I don't believe I can even catch the translator station in Cut Off, LA. After all, we just had two rounds of rough weather. Even KGLA is STILL not back on the air yet from Sunday's storms.

Also, I hope that KXOR never gets the FCC blessing to switch to K-Love. But if it happens, I can probably see 97.7 ditching its "soft rock" in favor of a rock station like KXOR has been (true classic rock).

Rob;
Give Mrs. Linda a call at KTIB and suggest it to her. I'm sure they are looking for ideas for shows at the station. I have received the translator as far as Fourchon when it was in mono and I can still get it in my truck (Delco made very sensitive FM radios in 2009)now that it is in stereo at my house about six miles south of you.
I agree with you about KXOR, but KJIN/KCIL just got their blessings From the FCC so the new owners are moving the station to a new studio building in a few months. In fact KJIN has stopped using the Westwood One Oldies feed and switched to a 50-60's music format from a computer till the move. It won't be long till another Heritage station(KXOR) dies. That why in an earlier thread we said KDLC 97.7 would be the station to watch.

Do I have to actually call Linda, or can I send her an e-mail? If I must call, what is Linda's number at KTIB? If I can send her an e-mail, what is her e-mail address?

As for KDLC 97.7, I was hoping it could become the new CHR top 40 station. Perhaps it still can do so. But now, I might be seeing Rock 97.7 (or something along those lines) coming soon.

Finally, could KJIN be changing formats again soon? We will have to wait and see.

Rob;
I just sent you an email. should be in your radio discussions mailbox. Since KJIN/KCIL are going to be moving out of the prevost building possibily with their new sister stations WGUO/KDLC to a new building, equipment will have to be moved. So what I believe is going on is they unplugged the sat feed to move equipment or new ownership decided to go like they did with WGCM 1240 Gulfport. and do a cruisin' oldies format. Let's see what happens in a couple of weeks to a month.
