KVNN 1340AM Victoria Adds Translator

KVNN 1340 is now simulcasting on 98.1 FM in Victoria.

The 98.1 translator can be heard as far south as Port Lavaca.

In February, it was reported that Victoria Radioworks purchased K248CP 97.5FM Athens from E-String Wireless.

I do not know the call letters of the new translator.

KVNN airs the Glenn Beck Program, the Rush Limbaugh Show, Houston Astros Baseball, Texas A&M Football, and Fox Sports Radio on weeknights and weekends. In addition, KVNN airs a simulcast of KAVU's 6pm and 10pm newscasts.

Most importantly, the Astros are now on the FM dial in Victoria.

Is KVLJ 99.5 back on the air? I noticed a while back they were off the air for a long time. Radio Locator shows they are back on. I havn't been in Victoria in a while to check it out.
 
Yes, KVLJ is back on. They were on in 2012 and 2013, I left Victoria in 2014 so I'm not sure about that year.

KVLJ was off when I came back in 2015, and sometime in 2016 it was back on, blocking me from getting 99-5 KISS.

Victoria's ability to pull in 99-5 KISS in 2015 is probably the cause of KBAR 100.9 picking up the Billy Madison Show.
