Tom Sullivan and John Gibson being replaced on Fox News Talk

https://radio.foxnews.com/2017/06/21/todd-starnes-and-tom-shillue-coming-to-fox-news-talk/

It says Sullivan is "retiring but will continue hosting his radio program on a limited basis on https://tomsullivan.com/."

I've been listening to Tom since he was on KFBK in Sacramento and have always enjoyed him. He mixes political topics with things that people are talking about "around the water cooler" and has always given callers a chance to voice their views no matter how he feels about an issue.

What is FNT doing with the slot that Alan Colmes used to have (6p ET)? As far as I can tell they've decided not to distribute a late afternoon/evening show?

Do any stations carry these shows?

Very few. According to their station finder, Tom Sullivan's show was carried on ZERO stations in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, or Ohio.

The only stations in the whole Mid-West I could find carrying Mr. Sullivan's weekday show are WATT in Cadillac, MI and WSGW in Saginaw, MI. Both AM stations. A few more were carrying his weekend best-of.

I've sampled Gibson's show a few times as he plodded along with a single insignificant topic for the entire hour. Tom Sullivan has filled in on some Fox Business TV shows recently and seems good at that.

I think Gibson is on WATR 1320 in Waterbury, CT. They're locally owned and operated and feature a mix of local and national talk shows, local and national Oldies Music, high school sports, live remotes, and specialty programming in Italian and Polish on Sundays. I think they also have a couple shows on the weekend that play Standards and Jazz too. They stream too. http://www.watr.com/

I've listened to John Gibson from time to time, and never found him boring, as far as politically oriented talk shows go. He has more of an upbeat personality than some of the conservative talkers.

On his show recently Tom clarified that he's only retiring from TV but will continue on the radio. But starting this Monday it looks like he's either going to be syndicated by Premiere and move down the street to Radio City and do his show out of the NBC Radio studios or vice a versa. It was a little confusing when he talked about it. He said most stations that now carry him will continue to do so.

I took a look around the trades and the main syndicators and I can't find any evidence that a syndicator has picked up Tom Sullivan.

Tom's show started it's syndication today and it's being syndicated by the Talk Media Network. He didn't go into specifics but he said a lot of the stations that were carrying him before are once again carrying him now.

Ah, that explains it. I missed it because Talk Media Network is a 3rd tier syndicator. Sullivan is only their 2nd weekday show.

The other, "Watchdog On Wall Street" airs on mostly 2nd-tier AM stations. Even then it only airs in 11 of the top 100 markets - and 7 of those 11 it airs either during the overnight hours, or on weekends. On three more stations I couldn't find "WOWS" on the schedule at all.

Update John Gibson Show moved to GCN Networks

John Gibson Radio Show Now Distributed by GCN. Former, longtime Fox News personality John Gibson is now a part of the Genesis Communications Network lineup. His daily radio program airs live from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm ET. With the recent changes at Fox News Radio, Gibson moved his program to the GCN platform. Gibson first joined Fox News Channel back in 2000, hosting “The Big Story With John Gibson.” Later, he added hosting a daily radio show to his Fox duties.
