106.1 and 92. 3 swap?

I seldom listen to terrestrial radio much anymore. But I seem to remember 92.3 being Nash FM and 106. 1 being the underground in New Orleans. Looks like they swap. Not sure when they did this but I noticed it about 30 minutes ago.

This came as a surprise to me, actually. I was under the impression that the country format was doing pretty well on the monster signal there at 92.3...especially after they tweaked the playlist to include older country songs. I guess this will be good for alternative/new rock fans in the Baton Rouge area who have been without the format for quite some time now. Time will tell!

Instead of just "alternative" rock, 92.3 could become a "new rock" station like 'CPR and with some 80s hair bands mixed in. Also, I would like to hear LA Lloyd's countdown and HardDrive on 92.3 in the near future.

I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about this.

When I tell people I'm from Baton Rouge, I no longer have to preface it with, "Can't find a good radio station."
