Wzum 101.1

According to the wzum Facebook page they are $5,000 short of getting 101.1 on the air. Anyone know where I can get one of those nice wzum buttons with three frequencies listed? I'll donate a dollar for that. Where are the wzum Studios?

WMBS Uniontown is now on 101.1 and I was listening in Elizabeth ,Good Signal. WZUM 101.1 is going to get a lot of Interference

They may step on each other in the car at that distance but at home depending on the orientation of your antenna you'll get one or the other.

After a 1.5 years of coming soon, the WZUM translator might be on the air soon. You can hear a signal on it now. The WZUM.org website states they are doing very low power testing in order to work out a transmission problem. The signal is higher than Part 15 would allow so I don't know how legal this is unless they have a STA. The audio is a simulcast of 1550 but the translator is not ID'ed.

The signal is very noisy in Bloomfield and does not exist in the North Hills. I don't know what the problem is but coverage over the eastern part of the City should be really good. It will be a nice addition to their signal. Hopefully the problem will be correct soon.

Translators are only required to ID three times a day. I think there is also an option for some sort subsonic or RDS ID that can be used in place of the audible ID's.

looks like 101.1 W266CV is Very directional to the South East and North Hills is not covered . The website state's " we are testing at low power and will be full power on December 1st ".

Driving North on route 19 from perysville to community college WZUM And WHOT Are canceling each other out .Passing community college WHOT is strong ,No sign of WZUM But turning left on to Mochain WZUM is Strong . the WZUM website is claiming they're not on full power yet . Interesting to see what happens December 1st

WZUM 101.1 has been off the air this weekend. It was a pleasure to ride through the North Hills And enjoy hot 101 from Youngstown .It seems the good stations in North Hills are getting interference from the translators and Pitt 92.1 needs to go . And what's with WWNL Asking for 8 what's on 10 3.9 ?

I was driving on route 8 a little south of Hampton Township around the KDKA transmitter site. This area is a problem for weaker AM signals due to KDKA and WWNL both being 50KW. I tuned in 101.1 and found it to be full strength. Given the coverage map, I wasn't expecting the signal strength to be as good as it was in Hampton Township. I listened all of the way to my office in Bloomfield and found the signal to be strong for the entire trip. It might have great coverage around Allegheny County. I was impressed.

Going North on route 8 in Mars yesterday WZUM 101.1 was overriding WHOT , BEGGING FOR MONEY . Heritage call letters going to waste.
