MC Hammer on KONO 101.1

Well I heard MC Hammer on KONO 101.1 today and I'm very shocked to say the least. I also heard Friday I'm in Love by The Cure, so looks like 90's music might finally be making its way to KONO,

I can see classic rap and R&B songs from the early 90's primarily from around 1990-1994 testing well with some listeners. I actually think they should add some more freestyle from the late 80's and throw in some early 90's pop and some rock too.

Yep- the "Classic" format is truly shining now with 1992 being 25 years ago. Pop safe artists like Mariah should be coming along shortly...

LOL and just 15 years ago it was 60's and early 70's on KONO.

I wish iheart would bring the "Everything 90's format" to SA. 92.5/93.3 seems like a good choice.

Univision- 107.5? The flatline to the Tejano format draws closer with each passing month

Very unlikely since their "Gen X Radio" format died like 5 years ago. Knowing iHeart, alternative has a better chance but doubt that either (since their format playlist is mostly 90s, more than 2000s and new music. Then again, that's what 99.5 is doing).

Iheart recently launched a 90's format in Indiana called "Everything 90's".

Waiting to see what iheart does with Preciosa now that 104.5 is Latino and they have a Spanish back-office in place.

KXTN is bleeding, the shows are on autopilot and their gold songs have gone by the wayside. They are now rolling the dice on so much new tejano music to see what sticks with the meters. also waiting....
