The Munsters to return on NBC

Yes, Beverly Owen is with us. According to Wiki, she turned 80 in May. Maybe her and Pat Priest can make a quick appearance in the show? (Not sure how their health is.) Ixnay - did you prefer The Addams Family more than The Munsters?

There was an episode of Shipping Wars a few years ago where the driver had to deliver a load of Munsters paraphernalia to some over-the-top fan. Butch Patrick and Pat Priest both appeared in that episode. She looked to be healthy at the time.

Interestingly, Pat Priest's mother served as U.S. Treasurer during the Eisenhower administration.

Her name was Ivy Baker Priest, and she was also the California State Treasurer for a couple of terms, after the federal job. She had worked in Eisenhower's campaign and was credited with Ike's strong showing among women voters.

Is Butch Patrick involved with this ?? He was the original Eddie Munster and I believe he still does public appearances as Eddie.

Much like the ABC 'Jetsons' revival, I give this 5-6 episodes tops before it's cancelled. What a waste of 30 minutes. If I want to watch The Munsters I'd watch the mid-60's original version from CBS.
On the other hand, the revival of Will & Grace might go well because the original cast is all intact...

Will & Grace not only is the original cast intact but gay rights is pretty much accepted by the younger crowd now. I am surprised some network hasn't remade "Q***r as Folk" !!. In the days of the original W&G it was very rare to see two people of the same sex kissing on the mouth on regular TV however today most of the younger crowd does not care and the idea of legal gay marriage back then ?? Forget it !!

The Munsters may or may not be a hit....but it has some good things for it......

1. The Monsters/Zombie craze going on right now.

and

2. The show is to target the younger crowd. Try to get anybody younger than 30 to watch anything that is black and white Heck even I get yelled at for watching "I Love Lucy" by people of my own age because the show is in black and white, the cast is DEAD and there are no gay people on the show. The other day I was told be a woman who is 62 years old that I should "be modern and get with the program" and watch Big Bang Theory or even The Simpsons instead.
