The Jetsons' Live-Action TV Comedy in the Works at ABC

Typo in my first line. They're NOT aiming at the demo that would have watched in the 60s.
I interpreted it to mean they are aiming at the demos who would have watched it in the 60s. If they were going after kids and teens then, the new one is too. That's how I interpreted what you said.

It must be wonderful to have the ability to ascertain the mental reasoning behind millions of minds without knowing any of them.

I would much rather believe that the ongoing space race, coupled with the normal interest in science fiction would draw people in - in addition to the kids who liked it just for the cartoon.
As I watched "I Dream of Jeannie" in recent years, I realized anyone with a real interest in space travel might have watched that show. Jeannie's magic and the trouble it caused were a gimmick, but they took the space travel really seriously. They did get some laughs out of that too, but it appeared they did that right.

I disagree with anyone thinking "The Jetsons" was educational. "Jeannie" might have had a better chance since the technology appeared real.

And people thinking "The Flintstones" was educational? No one was there. It was all made up.

I disagree. People lived with dinosaurs, and kept the cute ones as pets. Cars were invented 1 million years BC, though I can't figure out how they braked without hurting their feet. It's a historical conundrum. They had cars, appliances, and telephones, but nobody had invented shoes?

Of course, I heard the quip recently - humans walked on the moon in 1969, but it took years longer to put wheels on our luggage. Another historical conundrum.
