How's Harvey affecting Coastal Bend radio?

All the streams I've tried to listen to from Corpus Christi are down, with the exception of KSIX's, which is currently broadcasting dead air.

How's the dial down there where the bad weather hit, around CC and Port A? Is everything down on the AM and FM side? I feel bad for the people down there. Hopefully everyone on this forum is ok!
 
That makes sense. KMXR 93-9 is streaming weather information, the old stream from the Young Country station that used to be on 107-7 is still active with music.

But the weird thing is, the current format of Power 107-7 and 103-3's stream is down.
 
I live in the RGV but all the AM's from the Coastal Bend that I usually pickup were all off the air as of this afternoon. Even 1510 from Robstown
 
Well I don't know any radio stations that aired the hurricane though. But as far as I know on the TV side KRIS-TV the city that was hit by Harvey has their newscasts broadcasted nationwide on CBS N. All the Texas TV stations went wall to wall on the Newson app.
I don't know of any Corpus Christi area stations that broadcast on Newson. But the nearest one I seen was on KTRK-TV and they were providing wall to wall coverage of the Hurricane for the ABC O&O's and on ABC News app feed.
 
WOAI 1200 in San Antonio is carrying the weather channel. Nothing on FM is doing anything.
 
Weird because yesterday I tuned into KTSA's 107.1 translator and it was a talk show.

Update but this was prior to KHOU going off the air.

At press time, according to a communications status report by the FCC, in the 55 counties in Texas and Louisiana that are part of the commission's Disaster Information Reporting System (DIRS), all TV stations continued operating in the wake of Hurrican Harvey's landfall.

That was the information was as of 11:30 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 26) for all services monitored, according to the FCC's initial--and so far latest report--on communications outages.

By contrast, 315 cell cites were out in Texas, representing 4% of the total. That included three counties with greater than 50% outages, Aransas, Refugio, and San Patricio. No Louisiana cell sites were affected.

With incomplete returns--not all counties had reported--there were at least 149,909 subs without cable and wireline phone service.

On the broadcasting side, five radio stations had been knocked off the air, WKNC, KKTC, KUNO, KKWV and KAYK.

As for TV stations, the FCC said" There Are not TV stations reported being out of service.

KHOU, is currently still live from the KUHT studios and still using WFAA's "News 8 Radar" and other graphic as WFAA will over see the master control for KHOU due to the flooding at KHOU's studio and them being unable to use their own station's studios and graphics.

as someone from North Texas, i got to say, our WFAA did a good job helping KHOU In Houston.
 
As of this afternoon, KSIX and KEYS were back on the air. KKTX, KUNO, KCCT, KROB, KDAE all still off. Not sure about the FMs
