Has FOX done this before?

FOX's sports line-up today included an afternoon baseball game and a college football game between Michigan and Perdue. The latter scheduled to begin at 4PM Eastern. The baseball game ran long and the start of the Michigan-Perdue game aired on FOX Business Network. I don't recall them ever using FBN as an overflow channel before. Have they ever used it? FBN carried the game until 4:30 when FOX took over the remainder of the game. It should be noted that an infomercial was pre-empted on FOX Business Network for the game.

Yes I seen Fox Move the start of the second NFL games or MLB games to secondary Fox O&O's in the past like KTVU+ when the main Fox O&O like KTVU Fox 2 has to finish the first MLB or NFL game though. But Fox Business Network is interesting though I would think the outflow will go to Secondary Fox owned stations though or Fox Sports Net the national edition.

Yes, FBN has been used as an overflow channel on a few occasions. There was a NASCAR truck series race on FBN this summer. But with so few games on FS2, they are often be able to use FS2 instead.

speaking of, today's NASCAR Truck Race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway ran a little bit too long causing the start of the game schedule for 2 PM CT

FS2 had to run the beginning of the Washington Huskies-Colorado Buffaloes game tonight as FS1 was still running Oklahoma/Baylor.

Fox also did something unusual, this past weekend, as they had Rams-Cowboys scheduled in the early slot, while the Chargers hosted the Eagles in the late slot--problem is it was only CBS' doubleheader weekend, but a scheduling quirk thanks to the Chargers' relocation to Los Angeles. The early game was on KTTV, while KCOP carried Eagles-Chargers.

CBS will deal with this problem this upcoming weekend...it's Fox doubleheader week (L.A. gets Carolina-Detroit in the early slot, while everybody [L.A. included] gets Packers-Cowboys [AKA America's Game of the Week]), but CBS will also supply us two games--Chargers-Giants at 10am on KCBS, Seahawks-Rams on KCAL at 1:05pm, even though the latter is a NFC divisional game, although if the Seahawks were still in the AFC, CBS would the appropriate network anyway (AFC road vs. NFC home).

Lions fans in LA are happy they get to see the Lions play as they don't get to see them a lot in LA unless they have Sunday Ticket or go's to a Lions bar down in LA. Next to Thanksgiving or national primetime game which seems the Lions have a lot of this year.

In Hartford FOX 61 chose to air the cheating New England Patriots game at 1PM on Sunday, so they weren't allowed to carry the NY Giants game at 4PM. Not that I care because I'm not watching The Giants Games this year because they're playing like 3 year olds. I'm still a fan, following what's happening with the team on FB and in the newspapers. P.S. A notoriously bad local high school team in my area now has a better record than The Giants. The high school team is 1 and 3. The Giants are 0 and 4.

FOX actually assigned the Giants game to Hartford initially. It was the affiliate (WTIC-TV) who requested the switch. My relative gets WNYW-TV (FOX) channel 5 with their Frontier service. It's in HD and with no blackouts. The only part of the Giants game I saw, oddly enough? The last 1 minute of the game...which included the Bucs' winning field goal.

doesn't Fox only allow one affiliate per provider to not dilute ratings? KNPN forced WDAF off them in St Joseph
