I know their claim is "playing anything we feel like" but Ricky Martin? Really? And after that U2 without an id or anything to separate? Seemed odd even for a random-ish style station.

Ricky Martin had enormous hits in the '90s and probably no one else in town is playing them right now. Every single U2 ever released is fair game for a station like BEN. I'm trying to imagine what transitions from Ricky's songs to U2's songs would sound like and nothing so far feels like it would be a shock to the system. Sounds like a very BEN-FM thing to do actually.
Agreed. I’m not seeing the issue with that transition.
If they played..Don't bet money honey-Linda Scott, Triangle-Janie Grant, Its good news week-Hedgehoppers Anonymous, Night Train-James Brown, Everybody loves somebody-Dean Martin, Storm Warning-Volcanos, Rake It Up-Yo Gotti, Fight the Power-Public Enemy, Danzig-Mother and Thunder-Imagine Dragons, that would really mean playing anything we want and it would definitely be a pre-set

I know lol 😂, just sounded a little bit odd that "Shake your bon-bon" ended and U2's "Where the streets have no name" started without a bumper or id in the middle, nothing wrong with that but it was an odd feeling!
Bono has been known to shake his bon-bon, although probably not recently. In his case, it's "Shake your Bono-Bono."
