Doesn't really matter since they were losing to KIIS when Carson was there.

LA has two alternative stations, including the one they already own, "World Famous" KROQ.

I wonder if they're thinking about reviving The Sound here. I think they'd make more money with a younger format like AMP, but I'm not David Field.

Your comment makes no sense. La already has kroq and alt 98.7 and besides amp 97.1 aint goin anywhere.
