Yeah, that was a mistake on my part. Sorry!

Old Western US TV schedules from the 50s are always interesting to see just how live shows from the east were played in the west. Take American Bandstand from this day's KGW ch. 8 schedule. First, was this run on a one or two day delay with the kinescope sent to the station for playback? Or, was the show recorded at ABC network control in Los Angeles, then fed to the Pacific time zone stations to run in-pattern at 4 pm? (matching the Eastern time zone pattern) I'm guessing it was the latter. Also, did all the networks have video tape available in the fall of 1957?

Another interesting tidbit: KGW only chose to run the first 30 minutes of AB, when it was a 90 min show. Looking up when ABC took the show national finds it's only been a little over two months earlier. Guess KGW wasn't ready to ditch their other programs just yet.

If anyone's wondering what 2/4/5/12/13 usually aired (as they preempted shows for the World Series):

KOTI/KBES
10:40 Devotions
10:50 Cartoons
10:55 News
11AM Matinee Theater

KPIC/KVAL didn't sign on until 11AM weekdays and their first program was Matinee Theater...

KPTV
9AM Telescope (in color)
9:30 Treasure Hunt
10AM Price is Right
10:30 Bride & Groom
11am Matinee Theater

Sources at the 506 Sports Forum indicate that the World Series game began at 1 ET/10 PT, which was the case with weekday day games in Eastern Time in that era.

Wednesday 10/2:
Game 1, Braves-Yankees, 1:00, NBC
Thursday 10/3:
Game 2, Braves-Yankees, 1:00, NBC
Saturday 10/5:
Game 3, Yankees-Braves, 3:00, NBC
Sunday 10/6:
Game 4, Yankees-Braves, 3:00
Monday 10/7:
Game 5, Yankees-Braves, 3:00
Wednesday 10/9:
Game 6, Braves-Yankees, 1:00
Thursday 10/10:
Game 7, Braves-Yankees, 1:00

May have been a TVG mistake, as it was listed for '8:45'.
