Trans-Pacific conditions were phenomenal last night from here. Hets everywhere, audio on more channels than usual. Even KOMO was being battled by a 999 khz het. Too bad I couldn't ID it. DXed from 0145-0245 AM PT.
567 - JOIK Japan, Sapporo; NHK-1 programming with female talking in Japanese at 0150 PT, over domestic 570 splatter. A couple minutes later, // to JOAK-594 Tokyo. NEW #754, 100KW at 4,483 miles! Recorded.
873 - JOGB Japan; Kumamoto; male talking in Japanese at 0213 PT, well over 870 splatter and // to JOUB-774 (NHK-2 network). NEW #755, 500KW (that's what I found in research) at 5,393 miles!!! Incredible to hear this at such a strong signal.
The usual blasters on 594/693/747/774 were very strong, 747 sounded like it was next door. unID JJ talk on 1134 was barely over the CKWX splatter at around 2:30am PT; likely JOQR Tokyo (would've been new). Also heard faint Asian talk on 1143 khz, suspect Taiwan.
On the domestic front, conditions were also great as well.
600 KSJB ND, Jamestown; with country music, weather forecast 'from the KSJB weather center' and ID around 0145 PT. Relog, 5KW at 1033 miles.
670 KMZQ Las Vegas, NV; with 'SB Nation' mentions under KBOI.
1400 KXGF Great Falls, MT; 'downtown Great Falls' fadeup at 0159 PT.
1490 KLOG Kelso, WA; fair with full TOH ID at 2AM PT.
630 CHED Edmonton, AB; huge (like 20 over S-9 huge) with weather forecast mentioning -32C wind chill.
780 KCEG Fountain, CO with classic country right under KKOH! 720w at almost a thousand miles - not bad.
1110 unID Religious music under KFAB. No IDs. Could be well-wanted KAGV Big Lake, AK; over 1,500 miles NW of here. Listened on and off from 2:15-2:40am and just REL music.
