WWNL 103.9

Mine too. Anyone on this Board formiluar with FCC rules ? Is there something we can do to stop them from building on 10 3.9?.

Unless you live in Hampton Township, the 8 watt translator might not bother you. Looking at the FCC's website, Hampton is far away from the 60dBu contour of WKHB.

Looks like from that FCC map the signal should peter out around the northern edge of Shaler Township.
I'm in the South Hills so I guess it should not bother me. We will see.

I live 4.7 miles from their transmitter site. Their 60db makes it to North park. And you know the signal goes further than that. My personal feelings are why would they want such a low power transmitter In a suburban area, yes
THEY own the site. Why not one of the towers in the city?

Owning the site saves them a lot of money. No tower rent and they can use the same STL. I doubt the FM transmitter will cause their power bill to increase much. They aren't concerned about ratings as they are on a mission from God (their words, not mine). Just having a signal on at night allows them to sell more blocks of time. They added translators to their other AMs.

I Like 92.1 the pickle myself, I live 13 miles from WPTS transmitter and they override WPKL . I listen to103.9 WKHB at my home it will now be WWNL . And I also like WHOT 101.1 From Youngstown now it's WZUM. I HATE TRANSLATOR'S!

You can file a complaint under 74.2103 if you can prove regular reception of the station at your location. If your are in the proposed transalators 60 dbu contour you could file under 74.2104 but you have to do that before the CP is granted and they go on the air. After they go on the air the compliant would have to be under 74.2103.
