Savannah Market Rating

Has Savannah always been around #150? I thought they use to be around #100. Macon is lower than Savannah which I find odd. I thought it was based on population and I would assume Savannah metro is much larger than Macon metro. Any ideas? I could of swore Savannah use to be around 100 but I could be wrong. Note TV is 91 for Savannah and 131 for Macon. Maybe I thought radio and tv were all under the same ranking.

I went back to the Arbitron market definitions for 1980, and Savannah was ranked 142nd. Macon, then, was 132nd.

Keep in mind that radio MSAs are not the same as the Federal Government's MSAs in all cases. One is a Metro Survey Area, the other is a Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The TV ADI's are very different, involving the coverage of TV stations not just over the air but by cable as well.
