Unless they flipped since this morning, they are running for the vast majority playbacks of the "Acoustic Sunrise" show the HD1 airs Sunday mornings. I have heard a "lighter" Alt tune here and there, and they've occasionally placed an "Alt 96.5- Philly New Alternative" liner in to try to steal iHeart's thunder, (even though iHeart has thrown in some "Alt 104.5 HD2" liners on WRFF-HD2... as pointed out in the previous thread).

All Entercom is trying to do is say "we've established the "Alt" brand in Philly, so iHeart can't change the name of Radio 104.5 to Alt 104.5 if they wanted. The actual format of WTDY-HD2 is meaningless.

Nope. They throw in a liner/top of hour saying Alt occasionally. And a soft-Alt tune here and there probably to fill the commercial time on the Acoustic Sunrise shows.

Hottest format on the planet? A bit of a stretch. They’re doing some basic brand blocking. On an HD2.

Now they are Alternative from the top of the hour to 20 past, then they go into the Acoustic Sunrise mode until the top of the hour. They seem to mention Alternative more and more. I think the split format wont last long, look for all Alternative on the HD2 soon. Whoever is programming the Alternative portion knows their music, is it in-house or out of state, no title and artist voice like the sunrise shows.
