Got to wonder if Tom says he wont go on the air @WEEI if that guy is still working there, will that bozo still have a job there ?
 
Sports talk is no different than talk as a whole, I'm not sure it supposed to be anything more than bad. While there are a few exceptions you never really listen to this stuff. So if someone says they are leaving the station forthwith, it may be true.. it may not be.
When you are doing hours of this kind of programing mistakes will be made. I once heard that fella who moved to Florida for winters say Brady's wife should be hit "in the labonza." But he was old. Reimer probably will learn.

It's obvious that EEI feels it can't win doing sports. They pretty much say it on a daily basis. It isn't new. A generation ago FAN dumped G.Gumbel for Imus and while they're ratings didn't kill they were sold out. It worked. Minihane will work for a while too, until it doesn't (for whatever reason) and then they will find something else.


As for Brady he knows who he is working with. Same with BB. That's their problem.

I think you're right. If he ends up getting fired, he'll likely use the Imus defense where he felt he was encouraged by the station to be controversial. Celebrities are fair game, but their kids are off limits. I think most people understand that.
 
And non-celebrity wives.Comments by Imus about Mrs Howie Carr resulted in an out of court settlement that helped Howie buy a Florida condo, or so he has claimed on air.

The comment was unacceptable and he should have known better but firing someone for one remark is a ridiculous.. If he had a history of this I could understand the calls to have him fired. Brady's comments yesterday that he didn't think Reimer should be fired tells me he plans to continue his segments on EEI.

That said, he's young and foolish... sounds like Brady forgives him... he should get another chance IMHO.

The only thing saving his backside right now is Brady himself said Reimer should not get sent to the beach over this.

Knowing how the lemmings follow the Lord and savior TB12, I'm surprised there is not a mob looking for Reimer's head.

Most people get that Brady's just protecting his kid... and even maybe overreacted a bit. But it's also business... if you're WEEI, you don't want to lose your standing weekly interview with arguably the most popular sports figure in New England history.

I recall that it was that dope McGuirk that crowed the "mailroom manager" was dating Bowe.

Hence HC's luxury condo at the Biltmore in Palm Beach was dubbed "Casa McGuirk"!

Can't wait for JDI's dirt nap,.... hope Howard Stern's next, for all his carping back in the good ole show days,.....he became Imus! Sad.
 
Wonder what Wendy would say if someone said disparaging things about her son. Although he's a lot older than Brady's daughter.

She considers it kissing butt. However, what's gained by being a jerk? And that's what this guy is.
