I didn't realize KDKA's pre-empting As the World Turns went back this far. It was the #1 soap in the 1960s and 1970s. I'm surprised they would pre-empt it over other CBS shows and kept lower rated soaps Love of Life and The Edge of Night.

Most of Pittsburgh could get ATWT on WSTV and/or WTAJ
 
There once was WJNL-TV, Ch. 19 from Johnstown, but I think that station was only on the air in the evenings.

In an odd aversion, that station moved into Pittsburgh in the 1990s, but still serves Johnstown and Altoona (the Altoona-Johnstown market doesn't have its own CW affiliate)
