What would you do --- with KAAX & KYAF

Here is a chance for all those would be radio engineers - like RC -- to put their two cents in. What would you do to give both Class A FM's the best coverage??? Could you find a way to give KAAX and KYAF any better radio coverage.

Could you make KAAX or KYAF cover like a Class B1 or Full B ???

I am NOT looking for programming or radio format info. or ideas, Just radio engineering.

I think it might help to answer that if we knew what it is that limits KYAF to the 900watts and low HAAT.

KYAF (KAJP) Was built with 900 watts and a 80 foot pole in downtown Firebaugh - just to get the station on the air. The only restriction is that 94.7 can not be moved any closer towards the Fresno area. 94.5 and 94.3 and other adjacent channels block moving 94.7 toward the east.

ERP could be increased to the full 6 KW.

Actually it's KBOS 94.9 thats keeping it West.

Yes, and other adjacent channels like 94.9.

So -- any bright engineers that can better the coverage of KAAX or KYAF ????
Maybe RC could add his two cents.

Move 94.7 A toward the west hills below Panoche Mtn. The top of the hill is short spaced but in the general area on a lower site west of Interstate 5 would work.

KAAX should move to the existing communications complex at Cerro Lodosa on Highway 269 / Skyline Blvd : 36-02-11 X 120-06-45 + 1200 feet AMSL.
