What do you think Fox should/will do with My Network TV going forward? It has been extended until 2020. Some of the My Network TV stations seems to be rebranding to Fox+. Could there be a full rebrand in a year or two to Fox+. It currently shows double bills of network TV shows 5 nights a week in primetime such as Ninja Warrior, Dateline and Law and Order: Criminal Intent. Could we see older Fox shows airing if it rebrands to Fox+. It seems to be forgotten about by Fox since original programming was dropped. It aired The Walking Dead a year or two ago. It would be good if it aired some shows from cable rather than network shows. How does it do in ratings now?

What will/should Fox do with My Network TV?

As they’ve termed themselves as a syndication service as opposed to a traditional network, My Network TV isn’t recognized in network programming ratings books. The stations rebranding as Fox+ are where Fox owns them as well as the regular Fox affiliate. Our My Network TV affiliate, owned by Tegna, brands themselves as “The ATL.” Could Fox change MNTV’s name? Perhaps—a syndication service using the word “network” in its name seems rather contradictory. I wouldn’t use Fox+ as that would confuse some over that and regular Fox.
KTVU+ is the Fox Owned secondary Fox Affiliate in San Francisco and they are the first Fox O&O to use the Fox Plus name and they were never an affiliate of My Network TV. KTVU Plus simply airs reruns and pre-empted Fox Programming whenever KTVU Fox 2 the Primary Fox Owned station has to go to breaking news or air Fox Sports programming.
But there is one Meredith station out in Portland, Oregon where they renamed their Secondary station Fox 12 Plus after the primary Fox Affiliate in the Portland area and they are the first known Non Fox Owned station to name their secondary station as Fox Plus.
Nexstar in San Francisco currently has an affiliation deal with My Network TV for now but KRON does not emphasize My Network branding or programming in the area for some reason though. KRON mainly does promos for their newscasts and syndicated programming that airs on the station but rarely my network programming even though they are an affiliate of mntv.

Additional networks or services really only make sense if Fox has overflow content. And it really doesn't. The Fox Television Network is pretty thin of hit shows. So thin that that can afford to give up Thursday nights for football. Then what happens once Disney buys all of the programing assets, and Fox is starting from scratch?
KSMOTV doesn't have My Newtork TV in it's name.

They did this in Minneapolis with WFTC My29 (now Fox 9+). A fair amount of syndicated shows are on both stations (KMSP FOX 9 and WFTC Fox 9+) like The Real, Wendy, Judy, TMZ, TMZ Live, Page Six, Top 30. KMSP also "dumps" some network programming to WFTC. Example was yesterdays "UFC's Road to the Octagon" that was at 9:30 local time. They bumped it to WFTC so they could show E/I programming.
Real small markets My Network is carried after FOX programming (or delayed til late night) so its just that programming.

San Antonio's KCWX (channel 2) refers themselves as their call letters without using the "My" name, except the MNTV logo on the bottom on occassion. They, like most MNTV affiliates, serve as the de facto independent for the market with the transmitter north of the city into the Hill Country (which also reaches portions of the Austin market, despite that KBVO is their MNTV affiliate, also not using the "My" name). The previous MNTV affiliate in SA was KMYS as "My 35" as KCWX was originally the CW affiliate. In 2010, KCWX and KMYS swapped networks but kept their calls ironically.
Some MNTV affiliates are on the subcarriers of a station in smaller markets. WCTV (CBS) in Tallahassee and KEYT (ABC) in Santa Barbara CA are examples.

KQCA-TV 58 Sacramento is a my network affiliate in Sacramento that's owned by Hearst Television. However in Sacramento the primary Hearst station is KCRA-TV the NBC Affiliate in the area. I cannot see KQCA-TV using the Fox Plus name though but I can see KQCA-TV 58 renaming themselves as KCRA plus in the area airing pre-empted NBC shows whenever KCRA has to go to breaking news.

I think TV news media was surprise that Sinclair stations signed on for MYTV first before The CW for a lot of their stations in 06. Sinclair is biggest owner of CW stations outside of CBS & Tribune once the merger becomes final it will be CBS & Sinclair being the big owners of The CW. Surprise SA TV stations didn't switch the call letters to KCWS or CW35 KMYX MY2.
In Charlotte NC I recall reading that the My station was sold. I'm assuming (and hoping) it becomes a .2 station for the co-owned Fox affiliate. If that happens, I may get an antenna because my cable bill went over $40. The My station warned us we wouldn't be able to pick it up in my area after it went digital. So right now I depend on cable. i watch lots of movies on the station.
That station, WMYT (Rock City S C city of license), will move its digital transmissions to WJZY's subchannel tier (currently 47--will move to 25) when repacking starts in August of 2019. WMYT will retain 55 as its virtual channel while its digital signal will most likely be on .5 as .2 to .4 are currently occupied.

nope. They have until April to move. When stations got their money from the FCC they had 90 days to move or cease. FOX got a 90 day extension and recently had a second one denied
