I really can't believe One Putt hasn't applied for 790, 1430 or 940.
The 790 signal is really starting to suck, even in town due to interference. I can listen to it or have my garage light on, I can't do both.
If they got if for 790 they should move KYNO.
Also KERN/KGEO have them in Bakersfield.
I don't get it with KYNO staying just AM. Big time frustration as one who spends an hour or so a day listening. So, it's a 1.3 share, but, I'd suggest it's a pretty loyal listenership and a 1.3 on AM is pretty amazing these days. Granted, one can always stream KYNO if you want the stereo...but streaming has not been proven to work in this market and it's a pain in the ass when there's a weak cell signal.
I can see the 790 tower lights and the signal does suck - but what purpose does 790 serve other than to deal with the conflicts that arise over on the mother ship. KYNO is what makes sense.
KZLA 98.3 is built and ready to go. Pictures of transmitter plant on internet.
It doesn't make sense to me either, KYNO should have a LPFM, maybe if the 98.3 KZLA Huron to Riverdale on K-Jewel's tower CP falls through, which the CP expires in 5 days, One Putt could get a LP on 98.3 or 98.5, and put it on one of their towers N/E of Clovis either the 1430 or the 790 site.
Isn't KZLA sharing space on KJWL's tower? Am trying to figure out why Ostlund would go for this if KZLA was to be oldies....
