New station, Shuffle 103.3 Corpus Christi

Replacement for the Top 40 "Power 103" that used to be there. It sounds like they might be speeding up the tempo of the music slightly, but that's their decision not mine.

I'm hearing all types of music on this station. Does anyone know if it's still on 107.7 too?
 
It looks like shuffle IS on 107.7, but it went away on Friday (on 107.7. Still Alive on 103.3) It will be interesting if they can find a parent station to continue..

And Shuffle's website and Facebook page are all gone... The old Power 103 Twitter is still there though.

They're probably trying to decide what to do. I fear Shuffle's almost over on 103.3. But I can still stream it. ;)
 
k277BL 103.3 is off the air. No more Shuffle/Power. 107.7 is the origination station for 93.5, now.
 
Well at least they made 93.5 legal. :)

But what about 103.3? Their stream is playing silence, so I guess it's over.
Perhaps 103-3 will simulcast 24-7 Polka Heaven! Woop woop.

I'm pretty sure they'd go for anything legal. They've always been fairly legal as best I can tell. Don't know about a parent station foe polkas, tho...
 
LOL that Polka station was a joke. Everyone else pretty much has every format covered. Even 89.5 covers smooth jazz down there.

There should be an oldschool hip-hop station though if you ask me.
 
Another thing, I was comparing the streams for Shuffle 103 and their sister station KSIX which plays sports talk. KSIX's stream is very, very low quality MP3 20 KBPS and 16000 Hz when compared to Shuffle's stream, which is AAC 96 KBPS and 44100 Hz. If KSIX's stream could be improved quality-wise to match that of Shuffle's (which is currently on and playing silence), that would be nice.
 
KSIX 1230AM is simulcasted on 95.1 and 96.1, and is an affiliate of the Houston Astros Radio Network.

KSIX is the only radio station who has been an affiliate of the Houston Astros Radio Network since its inception.
 
KSIX is nice. It's good they're on FM and are also covering the Spurs on FM, or were last I checked.

Meanwhile is 103.3 still off the air? And 107.7 is that still Tejano from 93.5?
 
I'm not sure what 93.5 is broadcasting. I just was able to hear a liner from 104.9 KMIQ saying "MagiQ 104.9 and 93.5". I'm not sure if 107.7 is also "Magiq". You said it was Tejano, so maybe it is.
 
Not sure, but I believe 104.9 is not rebroadcast on 93.5. They have been running that liner for almost a year, but I don't believe it's true. I believe 107.7 is bring rebroadcast on 93.5
 
So the programming matches each other on 107.7 and 93.5? If you're close enough to 107.7 to hear it.
 
The programming is the same, but it's definitely NOT fed off air. About a 20-30 second difference. Off air feed? DETAILS. :)
 
Is 103.3 still silent? It doesn't look like the owners filed any STA (silent) notification with the FCC.
But not that FCC will check on it when they can't even get around to closing the 87.9 pirate in Houston. LOL

So now 103.3 has been off the air for 30 days, unless something changed? Shouldn't a silent notification be filed with the FCC from what I've read on this forum previously?
Maybe Mr. Willie (owner of 103.3) needs to lay off the weed sometimes. LOL JK.

Shuffle's website gives me an error saying the domain isn't connected to a website yet. I'm not sure what 103.3 is playing unless it went back to sports like 95.1.
 
It did go back to the same Sports programming as 95.1...
Meanwhile 107.7 was recently on retransmitting Retro 104.1's programming.
