John Mack Flanagan passes

Word this morning that John Mack Flanagan (KTKT, KRUX, KFRC, KCBS-FM, KRQR, KWSS) passed away last night. He'd been in ill health for more than a year and was initially given only two weeks to live. He was at KFRC from 1973-79. Flanagan's last radio gig was a Sunday Beatles show on the short-lived revival of KFRC on 106.9 FM in 2007.

Michael you forgot to list KHJ in 1975 as well?

Hot Hits: He did two weekend shifts on an emergency fill-in, while an employee of KFRC. I wouldn't list it if it were my resume', but I know JMF was extremely proud of it.

Was one of those fantastic 70's-style jocks with the pacing and timing that was so incredibly important for top40's in that era. Plus, simply a great radio name! (I've got old airchecks somewhere!). RIP.
