Radio Dabang on 99.5?

Wonder if the possible dropping of Dabang on 105.3 would have something to do with Sangeet Radio disappearing from 103.5?

Might be a bit of a stretch to think that 105.3 could be the second FM frequency for Puro Tejano...???
They can't. Rules don't allow it.

But then again, only fools follow the rules nowdays.

Even on the Radio they’re not mentioning 105.3 anymore.

So I guess yes, it’s only a matter of time that Radio Dabang will be only on 99.5.

If you are referring to being on two translators, supposedly true. But how has Sangeet Radio been on both 95.1 and 103.5 the past few months?
K287BQ's 60 dbu contour extends beyong the 2 mV/m contour of KGBC. Per the rules, KGBC can't use that translator.

There are also a few more caveats that don't allow the K287BQ and KGBC relationship to exist, but the extension of native coverage is the main reason it can't happen.

Now, that's not to say rules will be followed. Too many translators around town are causing interference and some have broadcasted without a parent station for extended periods of times. The Tejano owner could take advantage of the situation without facing scrutiny from the FCC. The licenses aren't his to lose and the fines aren't his to pay. The only risk he faces is disruption of service if the FCC comes to town. I bet his advertisers won't be happy if that happens.

Meanwhile on 99.5, lpfmdatabase is reporting that KPSR-LP in Pasadena is now on the air with a religious teaching format. At an evening check near downtown I was only hearing Radio Dabang on the frequency.

I stayed up to see if there was going to be a format change. But there wasn’t any, i only heard an ID KJOZ 880, 92.5 and 105.3.

K258BZ gets out pretty well... I get it in stereo up here in Spring. Should be interesting to see how KSBJ handles interference complaints on it...

K258BZ has been on for quite a few years without bothering anyone. However there are new LPFMs popping up on the frequency, such as the (supposedly) newly launched KPSR in Pasadena.

...and it doesn't have to tunnel very far to get there. With the most recent "upgrades", it regularly reaches Mont Belvieu and often to the East Sam Houston depending on conditions.
KNGT, Gator 99.5, is a 100kw C0 at 1380 ft north of Vinton La...it is on the KVHP 29 TV tower. Used to be on KPLCs 7 tower 35+ miles to the east... definitely puts a great signal into Texas all the time...lots of listeners in Beaumont..though they don't have much advertising from there
