I think Idol might get the ax before it appears next mid-season. ABC is back to comedy on Friday. Alec Baldwin's show will fail miserably. A few things worth watching here, but not much.

I doubt American Idol will be axed anytime soon. The live Sunday broadcasts has performed well.

As for Single Parents and The Kids Are Alright, they look like potential breakouts based on the trailer previews.

Networks kill off shows all the time. They weren’t committed to renewing them.

The only excuse needed is poor performance, and that’s true of any series.

And Friday night hasn’t proven to be all that bad at CBS, where they do a nice business with their three dramas.

Nothing for me to watch. I can take NBC and ABC and toss 'em. Fox will only be good for Last Man Standing. Looks like me and CBS again.

Last Man Standing did very well in the 8PM Friday time slot on ABC. Most of its run on the network was in that timeslot. Hence why now that the show has been picked up by FOX they decided to place it in the 8PM timeslot.

I was just going to say that. Blue Bloods has been on Friday nights since 2010.
