Now Bill Maher is called out for his rants

Here we go again a 4th famous person not named (Trump, Alex Jones and Kanye West) is now being called out for his rants and Maher has to respond to the Roseanne Fallout. Well Expect more celebrities names to grow over their rants. This is coming on the Heels of joy Reid, Roseanne, and Samantha Bee being called out for their rants earlier in the week.

Bill Maher on Friday weighed in on Roseanne Barr’s racist tweet and ABC’s subsequent cancellation of her revived sitcom.


The Real Time host — who back in April proposed that the now-scrapped Season 11 find the Conners “being screwed” by President Donald Trump — became part of the conversation this week when Barr supporters suggested Maher should be fired for committing what they deemed to be a similar offense.

“The snowflakes on the right — and yes, there are plenty on the right, too — tried to drag me into this, saying I should be fired because I compared Trump to an orangutan,” Maher explained. “Obviously, this is another day where we have to… explain jokes to idiots.

“Here’s why that’s a dumb analogy,” he continued. “Let’s look at four key facts: 1) Trump is an orangutan; 2) White people have not been subjected to a racist trope comparing them to apes for hundreds of years; 3) My offering Trump $5 million to produce his birth certificate in 2013 to prove he was not half an ape… was itself a response to his birtherism, racist bulls—t; and 4) I’ve already been fired by ABC [via Politically Incorrect].”

As for Barr’s bigoted tweet that got Roseanne cancelled? Maher described it “abhorrent bordering on presidential.”

True Except who knows who the next broadcasting personality is going to be whose going to get called out for their rants. I know Sam Bee, Roseanne, Joy Reid and Now Bill Maher has been called out so far for their rants. At this point its going to be crazier besides the usual ranters like (Various Youtube Pundits, Alex Jones, Cable Pundits, Donald Trump and Kanye West)

I do remember that during the birther conspiracy that various Sarah Palin connected pundits ranted out though. But that was when Glenn Beck was known to have run with the Alex Jones Playbook though.

This is another example of where celebrities and a lot of political pundits on both the far left and the far right need to learn to keep their mouth shut and stay off of Twitter.

That's Correct though the problem here is that when you read headlines like "Roseanne under fire by ABC for her rants" or "Bill Maher under fire by HBO" for his rants the general public thinks that Bob Iger the leader of ABC/Disney should be held accountable for what Roseanne says or the Programs director at HBO or TBS Should Hold Sam Bee and Bill Maher accountable for their rants when in reality the owner of the shows should be held responsible for what their public and private conduct should be.

However in the Case of Joy Reid this is the case where NBC News and MSNBC management are actually held responsible for what Joy Reid does in terms of rants though.

You are correct. Rosie was not "fired". Rather the entire show was cancelled by ABC. The effect, however, is the same.

MSNBC did comment on the old blog post saying that grown and evolved but they have yet to comment on Reids most recent controversy where she claimed her blog was hacked, remember she claimed that her blog was hacked in the last month and claimed that the FBI is involved. At some point MSNBC will have to comment on that, they have an Alex Jones level conspiracy theorist on their hands. also, if she did get the FBI involved she could get in alot of trouble with them, the FBI doesn't take kindly to people lying to them.
