WONG 1150 AM (Canton) is off the air, but...

The WONG 1150 AM translator is ON the air (105.5 FM). One could say that the translator is originating programming.

--- Casual Observer

IIRC, the translator is co-located on the AM tower, which is next to the studio. Oh well... another one to add to the list...

I used to pick up 1150AM pretty good over here around Brandon, but in recent years It's been sporadic. It's either off the air or very weak. The power line static has gotten so bad over here you can't even hear the locals.
Has WONG been having technical problems?

Are you sure the WONG tower is where it's supposed to be? I've looked all up and down Sowell Rd on Google Earth. Unless it's shorter than the trees, "It ain't there!" I see a couple new subdivisions have popped up along there too...

Eh... appears that the Google Street View van found it at least once: enter 126 E Sowell Road, Canton, MS in Google Maps and check Street View. "Wong", there it is :)
