It's a LPfm That broadcast from top of a building on Fulton, I almost said The Fulton Mall LOL, It has a Classic R&B/Rhythmic format, it was on before, left in January, just noticed KZPO is gone again, it was listed on Radio-Locator before, but it not there now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but not seeing this LPFM listed on Radio-Locator (even after typing in "Fresno"), as well as engineer1's observation of distorted sound quality, leads me to believe that this might be a pirate--that is, unless Radio-Locator has been slow to add this and other stations to its database. Does this LPFM have TOH IDs? If not, that could be another sign that it's not legal.

As for KZPO, I still see that station listed on Radio-Locator. At the top of the page, just type in its COL "Lindsay, CA" (without the quotation marks) and you should see it.

It was listed on Radio-Locator 6 months ago when it was on the air before January, I forget the call letters, the tower is on Fulton near Toulumne on a building, not sure which one, and also In Clovis I get it great, on 99.7 it's KIOO Porterville clear, must be the height, LPFM 103.3 is much higher than KKDJ.

What does KK DJR have to do with this

My question should have been 'What does KK DJR have to do with a thread about 103.3?'
regardless of who started the thread- the fact that he started the thread makes it all the more weird.

Who cares about this LP or another pirate (ask Verne - he knows how to do a pirate).

Wasn't the original LP about time sharing or some other worthless cover of KZPO? Who knows, maybe somebody bought something from eBay and is running a signal from their loft top of the old Security Bank building. Could be done....

I heard them mentioning the studio address tonight on Clinton Way, like the FCC link posted above, It's KOFP-LP, I think, but you never know, pirates can pretend to be them, much like fake profiles on social media, including this site.

The lpfm is kofp-lp As per the fcc website. They had an STA to be off the air.

Mr Kenrayc : I want to correct your knowledge this station broadcasts from Fulton in downtown Fresno . The best tower location in Fresno however with their licensed erp of 13 watts and a bad mis match antenna they do not even cover Clovis actually coverage stops at about McKenzie and cedar and at Belmont and 99 . I just heard some good news as you wrote about wanting to get Kkdj 99.7 in Clovis I was told that they have moved into the security bank building downtown Fresno I wonder if that move means they are going to file to move their 99.7 Transmitter from Blackstone and Gettysburg .... don’t know that as a fact but why wouldn’t they if they are moved into that building? Just Pondering inquiring minds want to know .. anyone else know anything about this ?

I knew that they broadcast from Downtown Fresno on Fulton, Clinton Way is where their business office is, and I do receive them in Clovis over KZPO.

The best tower location in Fresno, [/QUOTE]

Well yes The Del Webb and Security Bank buildings are good for a metro only signals, stations like KFIG 101.1 (then) moved to a better spot in the foothills Owens Mt. 1600Ft, 10K watts instead of 50K there, but works much Better, and KYNO 95.7 (then) moved to a peak near Humpreys Stations at 2100 ft. at 17K from 50k at The security Building, both now cover much better now, KMJ-FM 97.9 (then) (KMGV now)moved from The Fresno Bee location on E street the same height as the buildings, moved to Meadow Lakes and Covers everything in the 6 county market, and don't get me started with the coverage at Eshom Point, everybody already should know that.

Covers everything in the 6 county market...

There is only one county, Fresno, in the Fresno radio MSA.

Visalia-Tulare-Hanford, and Merced are separate radio markets.

Okay I Meant covering 6 Counties, Meadow Lakes (4500 ft), which is 3 Markets, Madera County is also in the Fresno Market lol. I guess I was thinking of the TV Market because almost all TV stations are located at Meadow Lakes and serve from Turlock to Delano. Its like LAs Mt. Wilson. KMGV 97.9, KMJ-FM 105.9, KLBN 101.9, KSKS 93,7 KKBZ 105.1, KFCF 88.1 and KVPR 89.3 are all up there, did I leave anybody out.

Madera County is not in the metro.

https://www.americanradiohistory.com/Archive-Arbitron/Market-Maps/Arb_US_Metro_Map_17.pdf shows the MSA (Metro Survey Areas) for this year direct from Nielsen. It can be expanded for clearer viewing of specific markets.

So your saying Madera residents do not get diaries, Fresno Metro goes right the San Joaquin River and Madera Rancho are right on the otherside, also Madera has 3 radio stations that serve Fresno, Univision KLLE 107.9 & KRDA 92.1, and Lotus KHIT 107.1.
