That story published on this forum would certainly upset the folks involved. It would also produce a flurry of emails to Frank, who would put on his moderator hat and quickly delete. So folks will have to keep guessing....

Why? Are there rumblings besides the chatter on this board?

If iHeart were to buy 92.1 perhaps SportsTalk 790 might wind up there. I don’t think iHeart’s Kiss 104.5 is a candidate to move, as Urban One would not sell to a new owner that would directly compete against either KMJQ or KBXX...a non-compete would be a sale stipulation.

92.1 could also wind up with one of the other existing SportsTalkers. Or EMF. Or Way-FM. Or who knows.

A funnier iHeartRadio speculation would be for KROI to be paired with KCOL as Cool 92.

I thought you'd get the message when I ignored you're inquiries. I'm not. But I can't say who I am because of company policy. Most of the radio industry is absent on here due to company policy. We are not even allowed to discuss work issues on Facebook or Twitter anymore.

Entravision is cutting back in radio. Take a look at their latest financials, and the statements about further economies of operation. For the moment, they are not a buyer. In general, they have found greater success in having radio in cities where they own the Univision affiliate.

Is KTWL still an affiliate of the Houston Astros? It was when it was "Texas Mix." KHTZ is still airing the Stros, save for day games.
