Old School 105.3 is now 105.3 RnB

I was afraid this was going to happen. I suppose when there hadn't been true oldies in Charlotte for a long time, this would be very popular, but the 12-plus numbers have fallen way off. This station used to be number one.

I always thought this station would have done better as old school if they had included Freestyle (Stevie B, Debbie Deb), some crossover (Snap, C and C Music Factory) and house (Aly-Us, Ce Ce Peniston) Sad to see this change, gave it a quick listen yesterday, high energy level is gone, sounds like another V.101.9, don't see this improving their numbers.

High energy level? Notorious B.I.G. is still in the playlist.

The 70s are gone, according to the source I found.

I suppose some people could hear them on WRBK 90.3. Others might hear WTIX 1410 or WHIP 1350.

by energy level I wasn't speaking of the music, just the on air presentation IMO

I think they are playing 90's and up

WRBK is a great station just spotty signal at best in Charlotte

The source I saw said 80s.

Yes, WRBK sounds good. I listen on the way to the beach. I lose it way too soon. The translator is licensed to Society Hill but the signal is pretty much gone before Marion. And WEZV is no longer "easy listening" so that's not much help when I get to Marion. Though neither is WRBK. If I want oldies, there is Surf 94.9, I guess.
