Latest Radio Ratings

Top 10 Houston - Galveston Radio Ratings for July (June)
KODA 7.3 (7.0) KGLK 5.7 (5.2) KMJQ 5.7 (6.5) KKHH 5.3 (4.9) KKBQ 5.2 (5.2) KTBZ 5.0 (5.0) KLTN 4.7 (4.9) KRBE 4.7 (5.0) KILT-FM 4.5 (4.1) KBXX 4.2 (4.5)
As I learned here, these ratings are for ages 12+ and are not used to steer advertising dollars.

Here's the full scoop: https://www.allaccess.com/nielsen/q/market/46/houston-galveston-tx (may have to log-in or sign-up to see)

KTRH News-Talk 740 has been on the rise since April's 3.3 -- now at 4.1 (now #11, no lineup changes, Michael Berry drones on for 6 hours per day)
KBME Fox Sports 790 has nearly doubled since March-April's 0.7 -- now at 1.3 (Josh Innes effect?)
Meanwhile, KILT Sports 610 remains steady around 0.9 -- KFNC ESPN 97.5 FM remains around 0.6
There are now three HD2s and three Streams on the list.

How is Kiss FM doing? I noticed they haven't appeared in the ratings in the past 2 months...

I can't say they aren't doing anything. I mean, I don't remember the last time KMJQ was that deep in the 5s!

Looking at the complete list (on another site) three things stand out:

KILT-FM is gaining on KKBQ. Not there yet, but the gap is much closer than it has been.

KSBJ's numbers have been slipping lately. They used to routinely hit the fives, now they are way down in the threes. Any word on when the new transmitter site will hit the air? Are Air1 and other religious formats poaching listeners?

And finally, KROI slips into the zeroes. Is Urban One really going to stick with this turkey another 18 months as claimed elsewhere on these boards?

If you would or could, what are KILT and KKBQ looking like this time around? The link above doesn't work for me.

Thanks!

https://ratings.****************/cgi-bin/rol.exe/arb033 I'm a little surprised KHMX-HD2 isn't doing better with it's Mainstream Rock format.

Unless an HD-2 has a translator, it is very hard to get above a 0.1 or 0.2 level. Just not a lot of receivers and a highly ethnic market where rock has a more limited appeal.

I am more curious how "KFNC-HD2" shows up in the ratings when there is absolutely no HD carrier whatsoever on KFNC.

KBXX has been due for a format change for like 3 years now 8th S M H people are tired of rappers who can not speak clear English

Let's see if I follow this: you want KBXX, the #2 station in the market in 18-34 and #4 in 18-49, and which is in the top 10 in revenue, to change format?

KBXX is 8th use to be like 3rd or 4th they have not reached better than top 5 in like 2 years time for a change.

Nice to see the Classical programming on KUHF HD2 pop up from time to time in the ratings. Since this is also available on KUHT 8.7 as well as streaming, I've always been curious as to how the listeners are divided among the three options.

KBXX is still doing very well despite splitting the audience with KQBT. They are not going anywhere. The top concern for Urban One in Houston is fixing KROI.

In their target of 18-49 they are 4th and in 18-34 they are second.
