95.9 RNB is now Hot 95.9

Welp, after five years, as of last week Entercom's 95.9 RNB (originally 96.3 RNB til 2017) has gone from urban ac to throwback/classic hip hop as Hot 95.9. While it sucks at Austin had to lose the only urban ac in town, I felt the writing was on the wall for them ever since KGID in Giddings bumped them off 96.3 last year forcing them onto 95.9 K240EL. When it was on 96.3 K242CC, RNB had strong ratings and listenership despite being on an LP stick with surprisingly good coverage and not-so-strong urban demos. I doubt they ever recovered since the frequency change, plus 95.9 has a weak signal.

The frequency bump is exactly the reason for the downturn in ratings, along with Spotify, Apple Music and Pandora. I use to able to listen to 96.3 from Georgetown, down 130 to Lockhart. On the newer frequency? Forget about it.

Go Hot!
Unfortunately though the signal is weak in Austin, like many of you guys have said.
G103.3's signal is weak in San Antonio, as well. I guess the corporate broadcasters don't like oldschool rap too much.

106.3 Is The Best You Just Have To ByPass KMLR From Luling 103.1 Is So Messed Up Right Now With To Translators On Top Of 103.1 As For 95.9 They Should Eject The Frequency Move To 94.7 Because MIX Is Just Copying 96.7 KHFI And Its Not Working Also Theres Already A 95.9 In Burnet KMPN Translator For 105.7 KHCB I truly Cant Tell The Difference Between 94.7 95.5 Or 96.7

At least there is 103.1 KISSFM from Copperas Cove. 106.3 will play slow jams on some nights.
IIRC KOOC B106 also runs the weeknight version of R-Dub's Slow Jams in addition to his flagship Sunday Nite Slow Jams show. Speaking of the latter, Austin's KPEZ 102.3 The Beat brought back SNSJ right away after 95.9's flip, although it is pitched up (no surprise). KPEZ did carry it once before though around 2012-13 yet had no interest in keeping it then.
