Whither AccuWeather's Elliot Abrams on WBZ?

BZ doesn't seem to have a roster up any more? Maybe that ceased with the change IDK?

I can recall the week Abrams arrived. BZ had a local guy, whose name I can't remember at the moment. He was new and I don't think he lasted more than a month, if that. He didn't do anything wrong. Management determined this was very important and they would rather have Elliot on "cart,"
than an in-studio meteorologist named Art?

I don't like having to bring these things up, but, dammit, I haven't heard Kim Tunnicliffe (sp?) over the past few weeks on WBZ, either.

I am one of those who developed an uneasy feeling about WBZ beginning 18 November 2017. Let's see: Peter Casey, Mina Green, Mary Blake, Rod Fritz, Jim Ryan, Michael Coleman, Elliott Abrams, ....

Funny how things work sometimes. I heard Kim Tunnicliffe just this afternoon on WBZ Newsradio 1030.

Now if only the rest of the names I listed would re-appear.......

Why does it matter who reads the weather? WBZ could use NOAA's "Perfect Paul" for all I care, just as long as the forecast is clear, detailed and -- hopefully -- accurate.

I read that Entercom's KYW Philadelphia has also dropped Elliot Abrams, but because they actually canceled their Accu-Weather contract.

So it's likely that even if Entercom kept WBZ that Abrams would be gone.

Considering WBZ is not a 'personality station', you seem to have an unnatural fascination with the people on WBZ! ;-)

Guilty! But since I have WBZ on for a good part of day while I’m at home, these nice folks do have a certain “personable-ness” for me that almost no other station affords. That, and the fact that I don’t trust iHeart. I didn’t have these concerns when CBS Radio was over them.
