Radio Fortaleza internacional expanding

Many know Radio Fortaleza as Templo De Dios, but in reality they’re RADIO FORTALEZA INTERNACIONAL.

I haven’t been able to hear them in a long time, not even when I’m in the Red Light on Tidwell and Shepherd. So I decided to go to their website today and I see a page where it says stations coming soon.

One that caught my eye is 99.5 PASADENA TX.

The only station I see is KPSR-LP which according to the fccdata.org it is owned by NEW WINE CHURCH INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES. Are they buying this station or just leasing it? You would think they would fix 94.9 in Houston before trying to expand to Pasadena Tx.

Either way Centro Cristiano has an app on K258DA which would block KPSR to reach lots of Houston.

Of course they do. They (or their affiliates) seem to have an application on just about every channel imaginable.

The FCC really needs to look into enacting some form of ownership limits on these little mosquitoes. Some businesses just have way too many of them parked in or around every major city.

And some only wish as what they have is no good for any market

The FCC would do well to revert to the old time limits for all owners and make the conglomerates like iHurtRadio divest most of their holdings. Let them own 2 FM and 2 AM stations per market.

Then who would buy them? If iHeart was forced to divest you'd have more religious stations in town to enjoy.

They're the only ones with money and a mission.

Radio Fortaleza is back,They’ve been on air since yesterday with what I am assuming full power.

Like a lot of other translators, Radio Fortaleza probably has 15 listeners and 100,000 non-listeners who wish they didn't exist due to interference with other desirable stations. BamaTX's description of these pesky little translators is perfect: "Mosquitoes" = Swat-em outta here = wishful thinking. DXing FM is almost impossible now due to the micro-watt clutter virtually everywhere.

KPSR LP

In regard to Low Power FM stations, they must be owned and operated by the non-profit on the license. Low Power FMs are not permitted to lease their stations.

Let's say I have a station that originates programming on that full power station. I could legally separate the programming from the radio station, making it a separate company. This would allow me to accept 'affiliates' from both other full and low power stations but I would have to offer it as a feed because it is illegal for a Low Power FM to simulcast a full power station and another LPFM station. In each instance the LPFM licensee has full control of their sole station.
