WLVP, WJYE up for sale

Two long running AMs are up for sale.Bob Bittner says on facebook he is selling WLVP 870 Portland ME and WJYE 1280 Augusta ME, plus construction permits for FM translators, and land.

Not to knock another person's dream, but I never understood the business model behind these stations. I wonder if there will be any takers.

His facebook is like those Pledge breaks on Public Television. It gets to be really ridiculous after a while. It's called get some advertising.

The FM Translator for 870 WLVP is for 105.1.The 105.1 translator of Bible Broadcasting out of Saco puts a really good signal into Portland. If the WLVP translator is going to be on the WLVP tower on the Westbrook/Gorham line , the Saco 105.1 comes in great right there. In the northern part of Portland WTOS 105.1 also comes in ok, for more interferance.
