Who aired what where: Lesser-known syndicated shows

And during my year-long residency in South Dakota, there was "Love Stories" on KOTA. I'm betting the almighty WSB had any of those shows!

Well...turns out I was DEAD WRONG about Love Stories being on WSB; according to a 1991 ad in Broadcasting (& Cable), it was WXIA that had it in Atlanta (and KTBY in Anchorage, but not Fairbanks).

But neither any clips nor a full episode has turned up on YouTube or Dailymotion...for now.

I don't think it was "Strange Paradise;" wasn't that a daily serial like Dark Shadows with a continuing cast? This was a weekly show with a different cast and a self-contained story each week. Thanks though. (I could be wrong too, y'know!)

Was looking at the Herald Journal TV guide from 1969 and "Strange Paradise" aired on WSPA/7; it had tough competition; "Mike Douglas" on WYFF/4 and "Perry Mason" on WLOS/13. No wonder it only lasted one year! Mike Douglas would have dominated "Strange Paradise" no matter what.

UPDATE: A 1977 ad in Broadcasting & Cable confirmed that the ‘70s Mickey Mouse Club did air in Atlanta after all...on WPCH (when they were WTCG and later WTBS); they might have had The Mouse Factory prior to that as well!

(Oh, and I do remember KSAZ in Phoenix also airing Breakaway)

Some more for Atlanta:

"The Road," a show featuring country-music performers in concert around the country, aired on Channel 46. WSB had "Countdown At The Neon Armadillo."

WXIA had "Superboy" and "Super Force."

There are a couple on the air now that some people may not be aware of. "Real Green," an ecology show with host Alex Paen, airs on WCBS at 4:30 AM Saturday; an hour later, WFMY carries Buck McNeely's "The Outdoorsman."

Also, on the thread about former commercial shows airing on PBS stations, there's some mention of the Show Biz-produced country-music shows, the most popular of which was no doubt "The Porter Wagoner Show." Some more-obscure country shows, which may or may not have been produced by Show Biz:

Billy Walker's Country Carnival (later "Del Reeves' Country Carnival")
Marty Robbins' Spotlight (part-country music, part-"This Is Your Life")
The Bill Anderson Show (before he got into game shows like "The Better Sex")
The Stan Hitchcock Show (I think this guy was out of Missouri)
The Buck Owens TV Ranch Show (ran concurrently with "Hee Haw" in Atlanta, Birmingham, and Greensboro, IIRC)
The Stonemans (before Roni joined the cast of "Hee Haw"--in fact, before there even was a "Hee Haw")
and the spinoff of "Hee Haw," "Hee Haw Honeys," with Kathie Lee Gifford as one of the "honeys."

"The Road" aired on WYFF Greenvile/Asheville in 1994; i remember seeing it once, after the Steelers-Chargers game from NBC. "Countdown At The Neon Armadillo" aired on WSPA, since i once saw it after the 49ers-Falcons game.

which Jacksonville, FL station aired the Keenen Ivory Wayans Show in 1997? (I'm asking because I don't see it anywhere) I know FOXNET (also carried on C-Band Satellite, Dish and DirecTV providers) aired it on the late night hours (11/12 c Mountain).

You still hadn't responded to my question! (which of the Jacksonville stations (WJXT, WTLV, WJWB (formerly WJKS), WJXX, WAWS, WTEV etc...) aired the Keenen Ivory Wayans Show when it aired in '97?)

And back to College Mad House in Atlanta: A check at some 1989 listings showed it was indeed on WSB…on Saturday afternoons (while sister show Fun House was on the independents, most network stations took College Mad House as a lead-in/lead-out to college football or basketball); in Alaska? Dunno about KTUU, KTVA, or KIMO (KYUR) in Anchorage, but neither KTVF or KATN picked it up for Fairbanks.

Does Lionel still have a syndicated show? I think he does although it may not be on many stations?
I'm not sure if we're talking about the same person, but there is a Lionel Nation channel on Airy TV (A cheap version of Pluto TV on some streaming boxes and sticks) At first I thought it might have been about trains (DUH!), but found out it was this guy. He sounds like he will take the sides that he thinks will make a buck. From what I found out he used to be on Air America but has turned into a Trump nut. As soon as I saw he was pushing Trump's lies I stopped watching.

And was there ANYONE airing "Pigasso's Place" - a Barney-like show that was low budget (1994)?

Yes! KWBP (as KRCW were known then) aired it Sunday mornings in its early years as a WB affiliate alongside "Bananas in Pyjamas", "Toby Terrier", "Two Stupid Dogs" and an hour of the "Sonic the Hedgehog" cartoon (the funny one that everybody watched, not the crappy dark one that aired on ABC about the same time).

I remember thinking how lame the show was but loved its downtempo jazzy ending theme with the computer animation of the instruments playing themselves, behind the end credits. The show must truly be obscure because I have yet to find that on Youtube.

I knew it'd turn up eventually.

The English version was sung by a woman, but who cares.
