I didn't ask, but the store where I went had Muzak the last time I did ask.

I only remember three titles. "Spinning Wheel", "California Dreaming" and "It's All Right" (not Huey Lewis). I can definitely say that whatever was playing, it was all softer than the local AM station (with FM translator that is the only frequency mentioned these days). That station will play songs like these but it is more classic hits than it was, and even before the translator, I would have heard some more uptempo tunes along with these.
 
Unless you aren't familiar with my taste in music, you shouldn't be surprised.

I found a 50s-60s channel on Muzak. It doesn't say soft, but the songs all seem to fit that description.

That would have been J.J. Jackson, then. For years, Syracuse University's basketball team used that song as the first selection in their warmup music between games -- a lasting memory for this late '70s alum. I suppose it's been dropped by now.
