NASH FM Dropping Ty, Kelly & Chuck

I just recently noticed that NASH FM 94.7 has decided to drop Ty, Kelly & Chuck from its lineup as of this week. So my suggestion is will they launch their own morning show?

Nash FM's afternoon personality was on this morning. He stated that a new local morning show will be coming to the station.
This is welcome news. Since shortly after the station went on the air almost 6 years ago, they had been running the national Nash morning show. It went through numerous changes, with its latest incarnation starting today. But I never found it very engaging.

OK...any speculation what this new morning show will be? Will it be country?

Maybe the best way to go is to do a great morning show, not one that's focused on country music.

Personally I would like to Nash to have a music intensive show, anchored by a witty personality... much the way it was this morning. There is enough morning chitchat on the other stations.
But realistically, it seems that most major FM's feel the need to have a busy morning show with lots of chat. As the station has recently started using a sweeper stating they are all country, all the time, I would expect the AM show to at least play and have some talk about country music.
But it seems possible they could hire a personality that is "not focused on country music." The Bobby Bones Show, which runs mornings on many IHeart country stations, features a personality that had a background in CHR, and discusses many topics outside of Country.

That may have been the determination. It has become less chatty than it was when it began. But lately, the chat has become very "inside" and very Nashville, which might lose an audience in NYC.

The result of 94.7's morning show change was completely predictable. She was put on the national show to start with in hopes of attracting stronger ratings in New York. When she left that show last fall (yet her name remained part of the show's title through the end of 2018), I had a feeling she was returning to WNSH in a local capacity.

Kelly Ford's new morning show started Monday. So far, it doesn't sound much different than the other shows during the day-that is music intensive, with brief talk segments. I hope it stays that way. There are enough other music stations with morning shows featuring silly chatter.
Hopefully Nash will resist the temptation to add more voices to the morning show, to increase the amount of talk.

The big question is if it will affect the ratings. I have a feeling that the format and the signal have their limitations in this market.
