That would be a horrible move for those stations. Cox runs a class A operation. Summit, not so much. Just talk to the people who worked for Cox and then ended up working for Summit.

Only problem is that Cox wants to get out of radio. So staying with Cox doesn't appear to be an option.

When I wrote he will start with a company with a strong digital foundation, what I meant was he's not going to buy any radio group at the outset; he's going to buy a digital company/platform.

I thought that's what Cumulus was going to do with Rdio once their exclusive with iHeartRadio ran out. Man, CC/iHeart got the better end of that deal since SweetJack didn't last long.

Rdio was already going down the tubes when he bought in. He didn't do his due diligence. It would have saved him millions.
