If Centro has built and the station is license is because more than likely they have fix any discrepancies or complaints. I was in Chicago a couple of week ago. Let me tell you it’s a beautiful coverage that they have.

Yes, I believe it.

I know for certain that the WSCR hop site for the Chicago translator in that article was never built. It only existed on paper, and Centro fraudulently filed for the license to cover.

How do I know? I spoke with the chief engineer for WSCR.

I was in Chicago last month and the only thing I picked up on 98.3 was WCCQ and WRLR. No non-existent Centro translator to be found.

Thanks for the info, this little 120 watt pipsqueek might cover 8 or 9 blocks in the impenetrable Chicago Loop, as confirmed by 'tb_' -- even though 'iknow' thinks it's "beautiful coverage."

I doubt it's running at all. Centro stations *never* run with that small of a coverage area... I'd expect this one to be running at over 2kW, just like K287BQ was...
