I'm using Dayton Industrial monitors for Public Safety and for Weather-- I need to buy another set for a different location, and just discovered they're past tense. These monitors work and they were cheap. I'm looking for a suitable replacement. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Do you mean the Dayton FM-SCA receivers? If so, about your only hope is looking at EBay. McMartin and Dayton were the last of the decent SCA table top tuners. Both have been out of business for several years.
Stuff in the VHF band -- i.e. weather at 162.500 or county emergency management at 159.200 -- that sort of thing. Thanks for weighing in though!
You're apt to see TFT EAS 930A receiver "strips" on Ebay now and then....
I picked one up a couple of years ago....the "stock" unit came with 1 AM, 1 FM and 1 NOAA tuner -- with a "blank" space for installing a 4th unit of your choice...
The one I got has 2 FMs along with the AM and NOAA....been working great !

Not the cheapest solution but one of the best I've worked with. The IP access is really useful for keeping tabs on your monitoring assignments from a remote location.

There are a ton of different NWS receivers or scanners out there. As long as your local municipal EMCOM communications haven't moved to P25 or some other digital modulation.
