97Rock Your Age is Showing

E9--Big difference between a Classic Rock Radio format and Musicians. Musicians of all ages may be influenced by many artists/genres (Dylan, Miles Davis, Johnny Cash, Hendrix, and countless others). They are passionate about music. It's vibrant and alive. Most musicians that I know aren't listening to Classic Rock Radio for inspiration.

Springsteen even touched on this subject in his song "Radio Nowhere"...

Then again where would he be if it hadn't been for radio? If you read his book, he talks at length about hearing all of his musical influences on the radio. And you're right, he wasn't listening to classic rock. He listened to late night R&B.
